1. Summer Vacation loans for all MSc and DPhil students and staff are as follows:
Vacation loans: Summer vacation loans begin Thursday 17th June (8th week).
MSc Students: From Thursday 17th June all normal loan books can be borrowed until 30th September.
DPhil students and Staff: From Thursday 17th June all normal loan books can be borrowed until 12th October (week 1, Michaelmas term)
All overnight books will remain overnight during the summer vacation.
2. Summer vacation opening hours:
The library will close at 17:30 on Friday 25th June.
Saturday 26th June and Sunday 27th June – Closed.
From Monday 28th June – Sunday 19th September the library will open:
Monday – Friday 9:00 – 17:30
Saturday and Sunday - Closed.

Greening the Library
Hi all,
As summer heats up, we're looking for ways to make the library more environmentally friendly, and would really like your input. Do you have any ideas for ways that we could conserve resources without diminishing the library experience? Some of the ideas we're considering include:

As summer heats up, we're looking for ways to make the library more environmentally friendly, and would really like your input. Do you have any ideas for ways that we could conserve resources without diminishing the library experience? Some of the ideas we're considering include:
- Not turning on all library IT equipment as standard
- Asking you to turn off IT equipment when you've finished with it
- Not turning on all the library lights on sunny days
- Encouraging double-sided printing and photocopying - perhaps making it default?
